Making Money With Google AdSense, Is It Worth It?

Earlier this month, I got engaged with a conversation on Twitter from a friend that asked me if I can write some “stuff” regarding my best performers, as far as making money online is concerned. If you noticed, only on very rare occasions that I will show you “numbers” as it is really not my thing. While I do realize that it might provide more confidence when making suggestions to users, on the other hand, certain business models sometimes works for one and not for the other. In lieu of that, my main objective about this matter is to provide you with information and actionable steps you can take to make things happen. I do hope that by sharing my experiences with you, you can pick up a few things to work on.

Anyway, that suggestion did spark a good idea for letting people know what works for me and with that said, I will probably be writing more specific posts about it. Today, I will start with Google AdSense.

My Experience With Real Writing Jobs

I hardly ever post two days in a row, but after yesterdays post, Do You Want To Earn Money Writing? I thought I should make an exception. You see while writing yesterdays post I got so excited that I joined the company I was promoting. As it turns out it was a real disappointment. It seems in my excitement I forgot the golden rule, ‘If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!’ While their promise that I could make up to $315 a day sounded too good to be true I thought that it was achievable as I’ve written 200 word posts where I was paid $20 so I figured writing 15 articles a day, while tedious, was doable.

inLinks: Make Money from Old Blog Posts

Honestly, I started blogging just because I wanted to earn money from them. I first discovered that I could write short paid review posts in between some non-paid posts. Eventually, as I build content, some people became my loyal readers, and it was not long before I became so conscious of what I write.

I earned a few hundred bucks from several paid review marketplaces using several blogs. However, doing paid reviews can be tiring. Doing one non-paid posts in between each paid review (as most review sites require it) makes me lose all my creative juices.

However, I found another way to monetize blogs: inLinks – a way to earn passively from your blog. InLinks matches keywords from my published posts and links these up to the advertiser’s website. I earn from those linked keywords as long as the advertiser wants to. It can also run alongside any other ad networks such as Google Adsense.

Make Money Using Google’s Analytics Data

What is the one thing that serious bloggers will often recommend when writing a post? Write for your readers, right? Don’t do this, don’t do that, and everything else in between. Most of these suggestions are correct and you should really avoid cluttering your pages and content with too much ads, excessive keywords and really write for humans and not for search engines. If you can do both, all the better, but first write for your readers.
